Welcome to RobertVine.com.au — A New Home for My Work

Landscape photography artist Robert Vine posing in The Grand Canyon

Today I’m excited (and honestly, a little proud) to finally welcome you to my new online store: robertvine.com.au.

This space has been a long time coming. It’s more than just a place to buy prints — it’s a home for the images that have shaped my life, told my story, and helped me make sense of the world around me.

If you’re new here, welcome. And if you’ve followed my work for a while, thank you — your support is the reason this store exists at all.

A Life Shaped by Landscape, Service, and Story

I’m a landscape photographer based in Australia, but my journey with a camera didn’t start in a gallery or a studio. I learned photography while serving in the Royal Australian Air Force, where exploring the world and photographing the land became a way to decompress from a high-stress career.

Over the years, I was fortunate to serve in demanding roles, including tours of Afghanistan and working as both a graduate and later a director of the Australian “Top Gun” course. During that time, photography became more than a creative outlet — it became a way to slow down, to observe, and to reconnect with something bigger than the job and the pressure that came with it.

In 2015, my life changed direction again when I was diagnosed with epilepsy after a seizure that left me with multiple injuries. Those injuries later developed into fibromyalgia, bringing chronic, lifelong pain. Alongside that came anxiety and depression, shaped by both my health and my experiences in the Air Force.

Through all of it, art has been a constant companion.

The camera has been there on good days and bad ones — helping me process, reflect, and find moments of calm and meaning in the landscape. Photography isn’t just what I do. It’s part of how I keep moving forward.

Images That Tell a Story

Every image you see in this store comes from a real place and a real moment in my life.

Some are quiet and still. Some are shaped by harsh weather, long travel days, or remote locations. Others come from places much closer to home. But all of them carry a story — of where I was, what I was feeling, and why I stopped to press the shutter.

My work has been fortunate enough to find homes across Australia, including in government buildings, and 90 images from my service in Afghanistan are now part of the National Collection of the Australian War Memorial. That’s something I’m deeply humbled by.

But just as importantly, my photographs live in everyday spaces — homes, offices, and places where people want to feel a connection to the landscape. That’s what this store is really about: bringing those moments into your space.

Why This Store Exists

I created robertvine.com.au to make it easier for you to experience and own these works — as carefully produced prints, made to last, and made to be lived with.

This isn’t mass-produced wall filler. Each image is chosen because it means something to me, and I hope it means something to you too. Whether you’re drawn to wide, open landscapes, quiet details, or places that feel a little wild and untamed, there’s a story here waiting to be part of your space.

Thank You for Being Here

If you’ve supported my work before — through Sunburnt Prints, exhibitions, markets, or online — thank you. Truly. And if you’re discovering my photography for the first time, I’m really glad you’re here.

This store is a new chapter, but the heart of the work stays the same: telling stories through landscape, finding beauty in stillness, and sharing pieces of the journey with you.

Have a look around, take your time, and I hope you find an image that speaks to you.
