Amber Skies, Googong — Limited Edition Framed Art Print

In the summer of 2020, much of south-eastern Australia was transformed beneath an otherworldly sky. Amber Skies, Googong captures a solitary eucalyptus standing beneath the dense brown haze of the Black Summer bushfires, a moment both beautiful and unsettling.

Photographed by Robert Vine in the rolling countryside of Googong, this image records a landscape altered by smoke drifting across the region. The warm amber tones cast across the hills create an almost painterly scene, while the lone tree becomes a symbol of endurance amid extraordinary conditions.

Printed using archival pigment inks on museum-quality cotton rag paper and presented in a handcrafted frame, this limited edition artwork invites reflection on the resilience of the Australian landscape and the profound impact of one of the nation's most significant natural disasters.

Each print is individually numbered, signed by Robert Vine, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Rob's Thoughts

"The 2020 bushfires in Australia shocked the world. No matter where you were, you could not escape the smoke - even if you were safe from the fires. The colour of the sky was eerie, daunting, and brooding. There was a beauty to the colour of the sky but a sadness at the same time. The next day, my Aunt and Uncle's house would burn down. Our family all got together to help them clean up - amongst the disaster we were able to come together to help each other. A valuable lesson for my children."

A striking and thought-provoking statement piece for collectors who appreciate Australian landscapes, environmental history, and fine art photography.
