"I couldn't believe how perfect Guthega was. The frozen lake. The snow covered hills. The blue sky. The setting sun. I didn't know what to photograph first so I quickly moved from one place to another, trying as many compositions as possible while the light was perfect. In the Air Force I had seen people and teams enter 'flow states' where everything was working perfectly and I could feel myself in that state. I didn't want it to end but at the same time I wanted to get home and make prints of the incredible images I knew I had captured!"
