"I got a lot of confused looks as I lined up without skis for the chairlift to the top of Thredbo. When I got to the top it took a few moments to take in how much the scenery had changed. I went there with no prepared idea of what I wanted to photograph so I wandered around the rocky outcrops, braving the wind and dodging the rapidly approaching skiers to study the balance of rock, snow and light."
