"I was so happy that the snow had started to fall as soon as I arrived at Perisher. Ignoring the ski field I embarked on a long trek from the car to this location where the boulders and trees stood out from the landscape. It was tough work walking through the trees and soft snow but I endured it to be up close with these giants. I was really happy to capture how the permanence of the granite is balanced with the temporary snowfall."
