"Your 20's are a time to discover yourself and by 2006 I had discovered my career and the woman I would spend the rest of my life with. However I was still discovering what kind of photographer I wanted to be. I spent hours on the early photography web sites searching for inspiration then got up pre-dawn on weekends to practice on around Newcastle. The beaches of the steel city are a great source of inspiration and I am still proud of this image and how it captures the intersection of sky, sea, rocks and sand."
