Balloon Spectacular Water Ballet – Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra
In the still waters of Mulligans Flat Wetlands, a lone dead tree rises toward the sky, its intricate branches mirrored perfectly below. Rendered in timeless black and white, Reflections of Silence is a study in balance, resilience, and quiet beauty.
Captured by Australian landscape artist Robert Vine, this image transforms a fleeting moment of calm into a striking work of fine art. The stark form of the weathered tree contrasts against the smooth water and open sky, while the delicate crescent moon adds a subtle sense of scale and wonder. The result is an elegant composition that invites contemplation and rewards repeated viewing.
Printed using archival pigment inks on museum-quality cotton rag paper and presented in a handcrafted frame, this limited edition artwork is designed to be enjoyed for generations. Its monochromatic palette makes it a versatile statement piece, equally suited to contemporary homes, offices, and gallery-inspired interiors.
Each print is individually numbered, signed by the artist, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Rob's Thoughts
"I was really happy to capture this image, it really emphasises the harshness of the environment - the fact that this tree was once strong and is now weak. It is a metaphor for how I can feel when I have to push through the pain of my disabilities and a mind that wants to hold me back. The moon in the background is an added bonus, a reminder that even if goals seem far away - the stars always beckon."
