Winter Sentinel — Mulligans Flat Wetlands Limited Edition Framed Print

Standing alone beside the still waters of Mulligans Flat Wetlands, this striking tree is illuminated by the first light of dawn. Frost blankets the landscape while soft pastel hues of pink, gold and blue wash across the winter sky, creating a scene of remarkable calm and quiet strength.

Captured on a freezing Canberra morning, Winter Sentinel celebrates the understated beauty of the Australian landscape. The weathered tree rises from the wetlands like a sculpture shaped by time, its intricate branches reaching skyward against the delicate colours of sunrise. Reflected in the tranquil water and surrounded by frost-covered grasslands, it becomes a symbol of resilience, endurance and grace.

Printed using archival pigment inks on museum-grade cotton rag paper and presented in a handcrafted frame, this limited edition artwork is designed to be treasured for generations. Ideal for collectors who appreciate minimalist landscapes, Australian nature and contemplative fine art photography.

Rob's Thoughts

"Canberra is called the Bush Capital - a reference to how leafy and green the city is - or maybe a reference to the fact it is in the middle of nowhere! Nestled in the north-side suburbs is something different - the Mulligan's Flat Wetlands. A sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of people braving the winter weather to go about their work. When I visited I had black and white images in mind but I was stunned by how soft the light and colours are here."
